Venez déguster un délicieux repas chez Mustang Sally's. Vous pouvez vous y rendre aisément par vélo et transport en commun. Ils sont installés dans un quartier ou vous trouverez de nombreux restaurants et magasins.
The service was slow and the nochos supreme was not supreme. More chilli then anything. And the poutine was rather salty. Other then that great place to avoid. Got free wifi.
This place shares a building and menu/beer list with O'Malleys it's slightly more refined sibling. O'Malleys is our preferred destination, but often on Friday after work is full so we wander into Mustangs.
The food is decent roadhouse fare, especially good value is the Friday fish and chips special, one or two piece, fried or grilled, with fries and slaw.
Beer is all macro and predictable but always cold and reasonably priced. O'Malleys has a decent selection on tap of domestics and imports but no Ontario Craft beers.
Mustangs has a loyal following of regulars, swell folks I'm sure, but if you get in there Friday late afternoon till mid evening be prepared for much foul language typical of people who have been drinking since noon. I expect the odd cuss word in a working man's place, but sometimes it's practically non-stop. Some relief can be found further from the bar or on the patio but some nights it's inescapable.
Live music can be found on either side from time to time, and can get a real decent following, but then it disappears for a long time. According to wait staff, owner has banished it from Mustangs side due to one fight a couple of years ago.
Wait staff are friendly and deliver service expected of a watering hole. O'Malleys is very clean including washrooms, Mustangs a little grimy at times and washroom that side is to be avoided.
I dunno, I really want to like this place, it's in my neighbourhood, but I don't find it that inviting. In the past there was a manager who tried to spruce it up with music and special events but she disappeared. Probably owner figured the offering of Blue, Bud Light, prerecorded classic rock, and NASCAR was bringing in the cash so why bother.
