Capitol Trattoria Pizzeria

We found Capitol long long time ago... After a very bad experience at Caffe Diplomatico and at Il Gatto Nero..... Being 6 years or more going every Sunday. Tonina and her husband Jack...very pleasant and funny. Food incredible prices good.

Disappointed

Went on Saturday night August 6, 2011 got our table right away we had to wait 20 minutes for the appetizers, the calamari was just alright. They did not even clear the table and the main course came. My husband had the stake it was hard as a rock and the rest of the party had the lamb chops..horrible disaster full of oil! YUK The service was terrible, i will never go back to this restaurant!

We heard about this place thru our friends. On this short little business trip, we had the chance to check it out - a good choice! Bottomless cups of coffee (IV would be better) and portions are very healthy. Their homemade pizza is just that - home made and hearty! We shared the full portion of the sausage pizza - more than enough for 2. We arrived at 9pm and were tabled right away. Timing was good as the rush started coming in at about 930 to 10. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for above solid service, food & value and atmosphere.

Great place for people watching

because everyone is in the restaurant across the street! I don't know about the food at the other restaurant but I know they weren't having much fun looking at us because the Capitol was rather empty. The problem: the food was 'meh' and lacked any kind of ingenuity, although it wasn't outright bad. The waitress would disappear for long lengths of time though and probably missed a tip from me more than we missed her service.

rudest waitress ever there...had the same expirience twice, the first time I swore I would not go back again but the pizza was great and the outside patio was attractive...the waitress was surly and the food took forever...when I asked to speak to the (female) manager, she was probably the rudest and least customer service oriented responsible person I had ever met. Second time, same, great food, bad service experience...go to one of the other pizzerias..sad because the pizza was good.
