I like the atmosphere in Mahao. Professional but warm. Friendly and sensitive to shy dogs. Very nice comradery amongst the staff. Dr. Miriam has built a good team... I had to get my dog in right away. Saw me the same day. Nice vets there.

The only negative I have is the four day week the practice is open. Unfortunately, I have to consider switching to a vet who is open six days a week as it is difficult for me to take my pet to Nanaimo in case of emergency.

Cannot recommend Doug Quesnel, DVM highly enough. Although the majority of his practice is horses, he also does small farm animals like my miniature dairy goats at Buzz n Billy Farm. He is always there when I need him, calm, knowledgeable and true a miracle worker. My animals love him. Just the best!
