This place has since moved to 86 Dalhousie Street and has been renamed 'Pantry Cafe'. I had seen this place multiple times and decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad I did! The place is really big, with ample room for moving and sitting. When you first walk in, there are really comfortable couches, with newspapers available, it is a great lounging area! The tables are cute and are far away from each other to allow for some privacy when dining. The menu selection is great! There are tons of items to choose from, and everything is made fresh.They have everything from omelettes to sandwiches to coffee and ice cream. I chose the chicken bruschetta panini with ceasar salad. The cost isn't too bad, only about $10, but it was well-worth it! I sat down and had to wait, maybe about 8 minutes, and the dish came. The server apologized as she had forgotten that they didn't have any croutons for my salad, so she gave me extra bacon, what a great touch! The bacon was good too, it wasn't that processed stuff, it was actually real bacon. The sandwich was AMAZING! It had cheese, lettuce, tomato, pesto sauce, and mayonnaise; the chicken was nice and moist, it was hot (temperature wise) and crunchy. The service is amazing as well, all of the people who work there are friendly and kind. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend you all try this place, you won't be disappointed! Lire plus

Went in for lunch with the girlfriend the other day, service was excellent, and the food was great!! their menu covers all bases...I had The Good Morning Burger, which has bacon, cheese, a fried egg and a hashbrown! My girlfriend had buffalo chicken wrap, which she said was delicious!! Visited this restaurant for the first time on Saturday afternoon after driving by several times and not even realizing that it was really there (found it on restaurantica). We all shared a bunch of appetizers which were all great (huge portions so we took a lot of food home) and then my husband and I split the clubhouse and a burger. The burger was the best that I had ever had, and the clubhouse was great. I was with a party of 5 and we were all totally shocked by the huge portions that we received. The service was extremely friendly and speedy and we were made to feel like we were right at home. The server even wrote out a list of their daily specials for us so that we would know for the next time we came back. The place was super busy and I can see why. I have a feeling that this will turn into our new local spot for dinner and drinks. Great atmosphere with cliental that seemed to be from toddler right through to the elderly and prices are extremely reasonable.. for all of the food we ordered it probably would have cost double anywhere else! Visited Claudio's with family last night for our 25th Anniversary dinner. Every detail was perfect from the greeting at the door by the owners/chef, the private table, the attentive service and last but not least, the amazing food. Some really nice touches such as bringing out a few bottles of recommended wines for us to choose from. Our waiter, Ignatio suggested that he bring out a tasting plate of chef Kristina's beef shortrib stuffed ravioli for all of us to try. Great suggestion! It was one of the tastiest raviolis I have eaten. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine and overrall dining experience. I go here fairly regularly because this place does it up right. It's not a huge place and gets packed fairly easily, so there have been times when I simply haven't gotten in, but you snooze you lose. It is in an old victorian style home, taking up both floors. Downstairs seats a few tables and the main bar, while upstairs hosts a more casual atmosphere of games, chairs, etc....like you are in someones home. Decor is eclectic and funky, provides a nice touch to the visit. Service is always good to above average, the staff are trained well, know their beers well enough, and are always smiling. I've eaten here too many times to mention, but the wings are great, as is the cajun catfish sandwich. The wings are a great portion and the sauces are excellent. The catfish sandwich is spicy,savoury, very flavourful, well portioned, and well priced. I like that they have Boneshaker on tap on a regular basis. In fact, they only serve craft beer which speaks to the quality of the establishment. Clientele is a mix of somewhat obnoxious college hipsters and hippies that think they are re-living Woodstock for some reason, but I don't have to like them to like the place. Keep up the great work! It was Wednesday and I was looking for something to eat for lunch, i saw Downtown Cafe while i was strolling around and decided to get their food special , which had been the Roast beef on a bun. The total came close to $10 with the drink, a pretty pricey meal for a coffee shop.
