Tiny tiny pieces of fish. Tasteless fries, even with the gravy. Nowhere near worth 25 dollars. Extremely disappointing. Finished going back. Shame really. Used to be good.
First visit big portions, low price.
Second visit smaller portions, higher price
No third visit.
Food very good - very tasty - although portion was very small for the price. wrapped in paper for takeout we ate on the beach. It was good, but not filling, and not worth the money we paid.
Would not recomend dining in... it was small and cramped just to order a takeout.
Hey Oceansider (see below), the wait person should not have told your kids to get their hands off the windows. That should be your job. Why should they have to clean your kid's sticky handprints off the windows? I really can't understand why people will give a restaurant a bad rating because they can't control their children. We go to Yorkys regularly and we find it a great chip shop! The fish and chips are as good as any we get in Wales!!! The paper wrap and the vinegar and salt splash make it authentic. If you fancy a good filling meal, this is definitely a place to visit....very reasonably priced.
Loved the food - Hated the service!
From the snooty waitress who chewed our kids out for putting their hands on the window, to the sour cashier who seemed put out to take my money. The dirty greasy cook helping himself to a drink at the front counter was a bit of a put off too.
The food was good, and lots of it too... would have felt better spending my money somewhere else a little more appreciative of my business though.
