Peterborough Transmission

I had several very good experiences with this Transmission shop this past year ,including a clutch replacement, new brakes and lines, and a driveshaft on an old British sports car .Also a complex transmission job on a more modern 7 seater van .The staff are very friendly ,the work excellent and at a very reasonable cost .I would highly recommend Peterborough Transmission .

i had clutch work done here during the job the cut a hole in my $1400 catback exhaust and ripped an axle boot they smeered JB weld over the hole they made when i went back and asked them to fix it properly the guy at the counter told me to buy a boot and pay them to install it and to take my car to an exhaust shop and pay them to fix the problems they caused need less to say i wont be recommending them to any one and will no longer return as a paying costumer

I had Them rebuild the transmission in my 1992 Nissan 240sx. The experience was straight forward and they did an excellent job. Their price was the best in town, they were friendly and professional, and completed the work in a timely fashion. They also pointed out that I should keep an eye out for a possible failing wheel bearing and a stiff universal joint on the main driveshaft. Its great to have this kind of information in advance so it doesnt come as a surprise down the road. Thanks!

Very friendly and honest service. They let me know what was wrong, how to fix and and how much it would cost. During repair they found another issue and called me right away, discussed options and gave me the choice to proceed! You don't find that everywhere. They will be my choice from now on

This is by far the worst shop I have ever been too. They charged me over 600 dollars to tell me what was wrong with my transmission then hit me with a bill of almost $4000 once my transmission was apart and on their bench. 2 days after the rebuild my transmission broke down when I was on the 401 and I had to get towed back to Peterborough at my expense. 3 years later my transmission needs another rebuild. The individual at the front desk is also a treat to deal with (Sarcasm). Don't go here!!
